


Ev also is a neighboring enchanted country to the magical Land of Oz but is separated from Oz by the Deadly Desert that cuts Oz off from the rest of the world, keeping its inhabitants undiscovered and safe from possible discovery and invasion. They are rather disagreeable creatures who are neither bad nor good but more inbetween, much like the Winged Monkeys of Oz, being undeniably mischievous by nature. They are a very rare species who only live in the enchanted Land of Ev and are introduced in Baum's third Oz book titled Ozma of Oz, published in 1907. The Wheelers are a fictional group of bizzare characters invented by L. The Nome King says he turned all the Royal Family into little ornaments in his palace, and proposes a wager with the visitors to see if they can identify them - or become ornaments themselves! Will he honor his promise? And how will our heroes beat his magic belt and huge armies? _Ozma_ also introduced the popular copper robot Tik-Tok, who will turn up in later Oz books."
